BF4 suspected cheating

Hi WBKS-admins,

First lets start off by saying that I really love the WBKS 9B server.

But someone did me report yesterday (after this round http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ba ... 775837577/), and I received my second ban on this server for suspected cheating/hacking.

When I asked for a reason they said: your IP/old account got a record in the PB banlist.

This record is from 2014 on BF3 on an other account.

In 2016 I bought a new BF4 and BF1 licence because of I couldn't join a lot off the BF4 servers because of hacking 2 rounds in BF3 years ago. Everything is linked.. I didnt know that 4 years ago. So I learnt my lesson. Even bad people regret their bad things, like me..

I am on of the admins he approached. I checked his accounts and didn't saw any sign of suspicious activity in
Battlefield 4.

I am personally not a fan for crossbanning, especially not for punkbuster violations that are 4,5 years old. First of all i think it's importenant to look for Each game seperate if a player cheats, as not every cheater never stops cheating. Some people learn from their mistakes.

Second of all, i dont agree in crossbanning for punkbuster bans as punkbuster bans are not as accurate as people think. For instance,

At the moment nobody still knows what the global guid bans do.. We all know players which got (unrightfully) banned by this
Im the past several pb codes have been false possitive and it latest code (81662) is still being investigated as it banned a lot of possible clean players.

Thirth of all, we should ban the people that are actually cheating in this game, and not spend this time for crossbanning people because they did something 4,5 years ago, and now play (as it looks now) clean. This time could be spend in other thingg.

I want you guys to look back, 4-5 years ago. We all did something stupid back than. For instance i think i am still perm banned at some servers in bf3 for bad language, but learned my lesson in that as well.

Yes we can use bf3 data as a reason for bf4 bans and vice versa, but crossbanning without any other evidence is quite extreme.

Therefor i think that if there is no other suspicious data he should get unbanned and we should relook at this rule.

I do not think so because if he hacked yesterday or 4 years ago makes no difference. he was so smart and used the hack 2 days in a row
where he messed up both accs.

Cheating and insult are 2 completely different things

We all make mistakes in life and we learn from them. Is it reasonable to hold it against him that he cheated 5 years ago?

Just banning him for what he did in the past and not for something he actually did in your server sounds ridiculous.

EDIT: Also, LangeTreeDorpie can stream his gameplay to YouTube so you can see the VODs if you suspect anything..
